About the role
Flat6Labs Accountant will be a member of the finance team and responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, preparing regulatory returns and audited accounts, and preparing management reporting for the KSA operations. There is scope for this role to expand to fund accounting for the KSA fund and GP operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis, and cash flow projections. Ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- General Ledger Management: Managing the general ledger, including recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining supporting documentation.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Processing invoices, verifying accuracy, and preparing payments. Monitoring accounts receivable, following up on outstanding payments, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
- Payroll Processing: Assisting in processing payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, deductions, and benefits. Preparing payroll reports and maintaining payroll records.
- Tax, compliance and regulatory reporting: Assisting in ensuring all tax, compliance and regulatory requirements are met, including liaising with government authorities, preparing and submitting required documents, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and laws.
- Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other supporting documents. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Financial Analysis: Assisting in conducting financial analysis, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant professional qualification.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
- Knowledge and experience of Saudi Arabia's accounting standards and audit process and ideally, knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s tax and compliance regulations and experience in preparing and submitting VAT and Income Tax returns.
- Experience in preparing payroll records and experience using Mudad, GOSI, and other government platforms related to payroll.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
