About the Role

Hi there! We are hiring for Senior Accountant. You will manage financial reports, records, and general ledger entries and reconcile financial statements. You will be preparing and analyzing budgets and performing general accounting. Prepare journal entries for revenue, accruals, and reconciliation. You will eventually ensure that the ledger data is accurate and precise.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing general ledger entries.
• Ensuring precise data entry.
• Entering financial data in deferrals, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Reviewing cash deposits and preparing cash receipt journal entries.
• Interpreting and analyzing financial information.
• Recording monthly and annual processes.
• Posting journal entries in the accounting system.
• Tracking fixed asset ledger.
• Collaborating with various departments such as Sales, Legal and other departments.
• Reporting any fluctuations and variances.
• Assisting the team with accounting issues and queries.
• Working in compliance with government regulations.
• Adhering to accounting standards and regulations.
• Filing VAT returns.

Requirements

3-4 years of relevant experience and at least 2 years of working experience in GL is preferred.

BSc degree in Accounting or Finance with a high GPA.

Advanced MS Excel skills is required including Vlookups and pivot tables.

Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.

Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Accuracy and attention to detail

Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills

Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral) both in English and Arabic

Self-starter with the ability to work independently across functional groups and on multiple initiatives simultaneously

Must be flexible to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
