Financial data analysts examine financial records and prepare comprehensive reports for their company. These reports are used to identify the current direction of production and help managers forecast future trends. As a financial data analyst, your job duties include compiling data from the market and various departments within the company, analyze the information, and create reports for upper management. The qualifications to pursue a career as a financial data analyst include a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field and industry experience.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Finance team to understand their requirements and build meaningful company wide metrics
- Drive SaaS metrics standardization to define and build metrics and dashboards
- Partner with finance stakeholders to support their data needs and build dynamic and rich dashboards
- Build and maintain BI framework related to SaaS metrics
- Build visualizations to easily interpret data and analysis
- Drive data driven culture across organizations and educate other teams on analytics best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Economics
- 0-3+ years of relevant work experience in data analysis, or business intelligence experience.
- Experience building reports and dashboards in BI/reporting tools like (Preferred: Metabase, Looker, Tableau, Sisense/Periscope, Qlik, etc)
- Expertise in defining and building meaningful metrics
- Ability to visualize data in different formats
- Proficiency in SQL for analysis and queries
- Scripting experience in python preferred
- Enterprise SaaS finance experience, preferred.
