PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To manage the daily activities and Revenue Accounting Team, ensure compliance with applicable policies and reviews contracts to ensure that revenue is recorded in compliance with IFRS, and finally monitor the month-end revenue close.
REVENUE ACCOUNTING MANAGER RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Report to the Controller, provide leadership and hands on assistance in all aspects of the revenue cycle; including technical accounting, IFRS 15 education and compliance, Deal Structure review, and the full Quote-to-Cash process.
- Continue to build out the infrastructure, systems and processes to scale the business.
- Manage and communicate fast paced changes at all levels to ensure continuous alignment with Salla’s objectives, as well as the ability to drive continuous improvement and automation in the full Quoteto-Cash process.
- Own the monthly revenue accounting cycle.
- Partner with the concerned departments to influence deal structures and provide education and training to Salla on revenue accounting impacts.
- Design and implement accounting policies and procedures related to new product launches, and work with the concerned departments to align deal structures to ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Drive process improvements in the Quote-to-Cash process, with an emphasis on automation and internal controls.
- Lead the revenue/billing portion of the ERP implementation.
- Assist with development of new models and reports to support revenue forecasting function.
- Develop and prepare analysis of revenue, performance trends, and variance explanations for Management and Board materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, and CMA or CPA is required.
- Experience in public and private industry in revenue recognition.
- Years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Experience in a metrics-driven culture, driving results through well executed strategies.
- Experience scaling from a small to growth stage company.
- Track record of success as a revenue leader in a growth-oriented, complex software and service organization.
