Job Description
1 1. Perform variety of complex inspection function within the assigned inspection discipline in addition to providing day-to-day work directions as required for the inspection of new or existing facilities assuring that materials are correct for the intend service, work performed conforms with engineering specifications and/or SAUDI ARAMCO Standards and monitor the implementation of project Quality Control Program with minimal supervision. Example of this inspection but not limited to the following:
a) Performs inspection of masonry installations to assure they are plumb, square, properly grouted, faces, finished and meet design and/or SAUDI ARAMCO specifications.
b) Performs inspection of roofing installations to assure they are properly installed and that design and/or SAUDI ARAMCO specifications are met.
c) Performs inspection of all aspects of concrete placement.
d) Performs inspection of all aspects of earth & asphalt work
2 Review and comment on revisions to the SAUDI ARAMCO and Industry standards.
3 Review and comment on quality control program developed in construction contractors.
4 Perform in depth design reviews to verify conformance to company engineering standards and specification on project in the design and construction stage.
5 Writes inspection Reports, Worksheets, Non-Compliance Reports and makes Log Book entries of on-site inspection findings arid maintain inspection records
6 Performs other miscellaneous related duties as directed by the field supervisor.
7 Train SAUDI ARAMCO personnel.
8 Review inspection waiver request to ensure they accurately represent the condition described.
Job Specification
1 Engineering or Technical School Graduate of Civil / Building Engineering.
2 Must be able to read, write and speak English language.
3 15 years industrial construction experience including 10 years inspection related experience in a given inspection specialty.
4 Shall be fully conversant with Internationally known industry standards and specification.
5 Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the Uniform Building code or equivalent. He must have a current ICBO certification as Building Inspector or equivalent.
6 As applicable for the work, he shall demonstrate thorough knowledge and proven ability in construction techniques with emphasis on soil mechanics, foundations, retaining walls, structural steel, masonry, building interiors, building finishes, roof systems, and asphalt.
