Job Description
Diploma or BSc in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic or related field)
Certificate (preferable diploma) or equivalent experience in low voltage circuits
Certificate in computer networks, MCP, CICSO cabling or higher is an advantage
3 years experience in systems role in the media, broadcast or similar industry
5 years experience in audiovisual working for an AV integrator
Knowledge and experience of:
Broadcast Operational practices in the Media Industry
Audio systems and distribution networks and equipment
Audiovisual distribution systems such as Crestron, Extron and AMX
Knowledge and experience of video conferncing is an advantage
Video Streaming and IPTV System Design and implementation
Network Centric Media systems such as server and file based transmission/production and archive solutions
Network system design & configuration including related topologies (LAN, WAN, SAN, NAS, TCP/IP)
Ability to work under pressure (sometimes extreme) and meet tight and often unrealistic deadlines.
High standard and attention to detail in preparing proposals.
Good understanding of commercial, financial and contractual matters.
Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels.
Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Perform site survey
Ensure that all significant risks have been identified
Work with project manager to produce specifications
Design AV and IPTV solutions to or exceeding client expectation
Design and supervise test plans and commisioning criteria
Produce BOQ for projects
Recommend appropriate brands based on performance/budget
Work with presales to produce proposals and presentations
Manage internal/external bid teams in the preparation of the technical responses to clients requests primarily under competitive tendering conditions
Interaction with other bid contributors including project delivery, sales admin and technical specialists
