General Summary
Lead Qiddiya’s corporate legal obligations and initiatives related to regulations through managing contract and regulatory compliance, and identifying and addressing potential legal issues and risks for current activities, operations and strategic initiatives in order to avoid regulatory breaches and disputes and preserve the organization’s reputation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Formulate and lead the implementation of the Corporate Contracting amp; Commercial department strategy to support the achievement of QIC’s strategic objectives. 2. Lead the development and oversee the implementation of the Corporate Contracting amp; Commercial department policies, processes, procedures and controls. 3. Develop Corporate Contracting amp; Commercial department budget in alignment with the organization budgetary requirements to allow effective delivery of desired objectives in collaboration with the Finance division. 4. Manage the development and implementation of QIC’s Corporate Contracting amp; Commercial strategy and risk framework in order to deal with internal and external legal matters, corporate structuring and restructuring, and intellectual property matters. 5. Manage the development and implementation of project management Corporate Contracting amp; Commercial legal and due diligence processes aimed at avoiding regulations/contracts infringements and managing legal disputes. 6. Participate in meetings with the CEO and Board of Directors to provide them with regular updates on major legal adjustments, projects and ongoing litigations in order to receive their inputs and approval. 7. Lead internal legal counseling to Executive Management and departments on Corporate Contracting amp; Commercial. 8. Manage the relationship with regulating bodies to ensure QIC’s compliance with local and international regulations and with external legal advisors to obtain a wide and accurate view on specific/sensitive legal matters. 9. Lead major litigations or negotiations resulting from lawsuits or other legal issues related to regulatory breaches and disputes. 10. Manage the achievement of departmental objectives through effective leadership by setting individual objectives, managing performance and developing the team to maximize performance. 11. Provide overall direction and guidance to mentor, coach, motivate and challenge teams providing opportunities for growth and development within the Corporate Contracting amp; Commercial.
Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law or related field. • Master’s Degree in Law, Corporate Law or related field preferred.
Years of Experience 12-15 preferred total years of relevant experience.
