- Rotate and train on each aspect of the warehouse / distribution processes ( Returns, Receiving, Restock and Transfers) ensuring compliance to standard procedures.
- Execute all aspects of order fulfillment including planning orders, preparing priorities and inbound material from external suppliers.
- Ensure employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs.
- Provide daily hands-on support for the department.
- Drive compliance with safety, quality, delivery and cost goals in support of warehouse team objectives.
- Provide recommendations on process improvement and supervise implementation.
- Maintain attendance and enforce adherence to the attendance policy.
- Respond to and resolve employee relations issues expressed by team members;
- create and maintain a high-quality work environment so that team members are motivated to perform at their highest level.
- Address disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy.
- Prepare warnings and communication effectively with employees on warnings and make effective/appropriate decisions relative to corrective action as required
- 3 years warehouse experience, with supervisory experience in a high volume, fast paced distribution operation.
- Ability to multi-task and detail oriented
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Ability to build cross functional teams and communicate effectively.
- Strong bias for action. Has ability to get to the best answer in an aggressive timeframe.
- Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking ability and acute attention to detail.
- A professional who leads by influence, rather than authority arising from reporting lines, and motivates individuals at all levels to strive for success and excellence.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
