Job Description

Position Description:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join South Ghawar Gas Producing Engineering Division (SGGPED), under South Ghawar Gas Producing Department (SGGPD).

The organization handles all electrical related issues associated with gas compression plants and gas producing facilities.

Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry.

Ability to develop design packages and conduct studies for electrical systems.

Full knowledge of international standards and best practices such as NEC and IEEE and good experience in ETAP.

It’s preferred to have IEEE membership and PE in electrical engineering.

Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in electrical engineering projects, design, maintenance, assessments, studies, investigations, analysis, optimization, troubleshooting, detailed reports and technical evaluations.

Detailed knowledge and background in transformers, generators, solar power, battery chargers, battery banks, Cathodic protection, heat tracing, motors, power distribution, buildings electrical systems, power metering, power cables, electrical equipment selection criteria, electrical systems sizing and power optimization solutions.

Job Specification

Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following;

Equipment design and electrical system modifications for oil & gas facilities.

Plan, monitor and improve Energy Management and Efficiency Programs.

Establish and maintain Power Reliability Programs to monitor the performance and reliability of electrical equipment and systems.

Review Engineering design packages related to Electrical equipment and systems to ensure appropriate material selection and cost minimization.

Issue design engineering packages for anode monitoring and Cathodic Protection (CP) systems.

Conduct electrical surveys, assessments and audits to assets related to DC battery systems, CP systems and Solar Systems.

Develop continuous improvements solutions for electrical challenges.

Share electrical engineering knowledge, experience, and train younger engineers.
