Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist the technicians with any installation and maintenance support involving troubleshooting and repair of the Radar Systems, communications equipment, and test/support equipment.
2. Assist and perform preventive maintenance inspections on the Radar hardware to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
3. Assist the technicians in the interpretation and clarification of system country standard technical orders.
4. Review all quality control procedures used during system equipment maintenance and make appropriate recommendations.
5. Assist the program management personnel on all installation and maintenance matters and procedures, regarding the use of system spares, test/support equipment, and technical orders.
6. Perform TDY to any radar location in Saudi Arabia as directed by management.
7. Perform Radar installation and checkout, design tryout, open item resolution, improvement modifications, and upgrade modifications as required.
8. Prepare and submit the various reports providing visibility of issues and status of the overall program. These reports include, but are not limited to:
a. Composite Field Report
b. Program Progress Status and Management
c. Repair/Return Report
d. Top Ten Critical support Issues
9. Prepare/update On-the-Job (OJT) training material and conduct training to personnel in organizational and depot level maintenance.
Job Specification
Qualifications
Shall have a minimum of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or experience that demonstrates competency. Must be certified in the Ground Surveillance Radar equipment, hardware and software, alignments, and operations and maintenance. Should be well verse in the use of general electronic testing equipment and knowledgeable in the use of Radar peculiar support test equipment. Must be proficient in the use of desktop productivity tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc.). Should have a can-do attitude, willing to travel to remote sites on a short notice, and willing to learn new procedures and practices for Radar upgrade and modifications. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience
1. The candidate shall have five (5) years of experience in the installation, maintaining tactical/non tactical Radar systems.
2. The experience shall include the installation and maintenance of one or more of the following Radar systems TPS-43, TPS-70, TPS 72, TPS-43 and TAC-90 displays.
3. The candidate must have the experience to adjust, align, assemble, calibrate, configure, debug, disassemble, integrate, install, maintain, modify, operate, overhaul, program, repair, test, and troubleshoot C4I radar systems, networks, and subsystems.
4. The candidate must be experienced in using the specialized test equipment, tools and testing procedures to troubleshoot Radar components down to the component level.
5. The candidate must have at least two (2) years experience in training the Radar technicians.
6. C4I Security experience will be a plus.
7. Must be knowledgeable/experienced with safety regulations associated with Radar systems.
8. The candidate must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and other technical design documents to include interconnectivity wiring diagrams, block diagrams, technical orders, and troubleshooting flow charts.
9. Candidate must have experience developing technical reports, writing technical procedures, developing OJT material, etc.
