FlyAkeed, a prominent technology company in the travel industry, is seeking an experienced and talented Accounting Manager to join our team. As an Accounting Manager at FlyAkeed, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, including financial reporting, budgeting, and general accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial compliance including IFRSs, Zakat amp; Tax such as VAT, Withholding tax Etc.
- Manage the financial/operational accounting functions/processes (GL, AP, AR, PPamp;E... Etc.) and statutory financial reports.
- Manage the relationship with external/internal auditors and regulatory bodies such as GAZT.
- Manage the period-End Closing Processes to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports.
- Participate in the preparation of consolidated amp; stand-alone financial statements.
- Continuous pursuit of simplification, standardization amp; automation of the processes and work methods and to as per relevant best practices. Manage related digital transformation projects.
- Monitor the internal control system and ensure its continuous improvement to meet its objectives.
- Ensure compliance amp; implementation of effective policies amp; procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA or CMA) preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge and experience in VAT, Tax/Zakat, and other financial compliance.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in the technology or travel industry is preferred
