The role holder is responsible for providing specialist expertise regarding Health, Safety and Environmental Standards, procedures and practices.
Core Responsibilities:
•Monitors Health, Safetyamp; Environment conditions across all premises and identifies any issues related to HSE.
•Inspect all SAR Railway infrastructure for any non-compliance with standards and procedures.
•Provides guidance and support to all employees regarding the mitigation of various and common environmental health and safety issues.
•Defines and develops Health, Safetyamp; Environment procedures and performs random HSE checks to ensure compliance.
•Understands the current government and industry.
•regulations on Environmental Health and Safety standards and procedures.
•Keeps abreast of any new government and industry.
•regulations on Environmental Health and Safety standards and procedures.
•Prepares ideas to help employees reduce the risk of violations of health and safety standards and procedures.
•Organizes workshops, conferences, and trainings to employees regarding HSE management issues.
•Support SAR teams in accident investigations.
•Assist SAR teams to deliver instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
-Strategic and Managerial Contribution:
•Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the HSE Assurance amp; Inspection Senior Manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the year.
•Provides inputs for the development of strategy of the Industrial Security Division in line with the SBU strategy and cascade the same to the Division/ Department's annual operating plan.
•Drives the Division/ Department results through effective planning, resource allocation, work allocation, monitoring and decision.
•making to achieve the Division/ Department-level KPls.
-Health, Safety and Environment:
•Complies with the company safety, health, and environment objectives.
•Compliance with the environment and health standards in coordination with HSE Department.
-Budgeting amp; Cost Control:
•Supports in the preparation of the department budgets based on budget requirement by the team and monitors financial performance versus the budget to ensure adherence to the set budget.
-People management Responsibilities:
•Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting authority and ensures that the goals are achieved during the year.
•Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting authority to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.
•Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.
•Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
Requirements
Qualifications amp; Experience: -
-Basic Qualification:
•University degree in Engineering, Health,
•Safety and Environment or equivalent.
-Advanced Qualification:
•Master’s degree in health, Safety and Environment or equivalent preferred.
Minimum Experience:
•A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in the application of principles and processes of safety management including risk assessments.
•Working knowledge of how safety legislation is applied within companies.
•Prior experience in coordinating safety inspection preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
•Arabic or English language communication.
