Responsibilities- Review project requirements and technical specifications to determine procurement needs for civil and marine projects.
- Identify potential suppliers and maintain an approved vendor list.
- Issue inquiries and obtain competitive bids from suppliers.
- Evaluate bids and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any quality or delivery issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement for civil and marine projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and suppliers in the UAE market.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
