Eram Talent, a reputable Talent Acquisition Consultancy, is currently seeking a Welding Equipment Supervisor - Offshore for a leading company in the energy sector. The Welding Equipment Supervisor - Offshore will be responsible for overseeing and managing the welding activities on offshore projects, ensuring that all welding equipment is properly maintained and operated to meet project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of welding technicians on offshore projects, ensuring that all welding activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate welding activities with other departments and project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Ensure that all welding equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and operated in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Monitor welding performance and quality to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and implement welding procedures and guidelines to improve efficiency and quality.
- Train and mentor welding technicians, providing guidance and support to help them improve their skills and performance.
- Participate in the selection and procurement of welding equipment and consumables.
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including inspection reports, maintenance records, and equipment calibration certificates.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to promote a safe working environment.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in welding technology and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in welding, preferably in offshore projects.
- Solid Experience in Automatic Pipeline Welding equipment in BARGE is mandatory.
- Prior experience in a supervisory role, overseeing welding activities and managing a team.
- Certifications in welding, such as AWS or CSWIP, are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of welding equipment, techniques, and industry standards.
- Experience in developing and implementing welding procedures and guidelines.
