Job Description

We are looking for a passionate copywriter to join our creative team. You will sit within our product marketing team and influence various projects and channels including product launches, onboarding and activation efforts, social media, blogs, emails, product tutorials, collaterals, and online ads.

You love sparring with ideas to shape and sell them using your refined creative style. You equally thrive in long forms and shooting snappy taglines. You are already thinking I could have written a better description. You also sweat the small details, love to collaborate with other stakeholders, and have experience translating strategies into great experiences.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL COPYWRITING FUNCTIONS (70%):

  • Create compelling copy for various marketing materials, including advertisements, websites, social media posts, email campaigns, video scripts, product descriptions, and blog articles.
  • Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
  • Write persuasive and engaging copy that effectively conveys key messages and ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with designers and other stakeholders to produce cohesive and visually appealing content that aligns with the overall marketing strategy.
  • Use customer and data insights to guide testing and iteration
  • Conduct high-quality research and interviews
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Keep up-to-date with content best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies.
  • Taking abstract content and creating advertisements, and marketing materials.
  • Liaises with clients and colleagues and collaborates with other departments and project teams to consider writing requirements and create innovative content ideas.
  • Updates and amends written content according to feedback.

ESSENTIAL EDITOR FUNCTIONS (30%):

  • Partners with the designers to ensure copy is correctly flowed into design and finds integrated visual/copy solutions.
  • Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for posts
  • Craft and send out monthly newsletter

  • Distill complex subject matter into simple, straightforward language that anyone can understand
  • Optimize published pieces using SEO guidelines
  • Manage the editorial calendar and ensure timely publication

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in a creative writing/content/copywriter role at an agency or in-house brand
  • Industry experience is preferred
  • Proven portfolio of successful copywriting campaigns and projects
  • Excellent grammar, writing, proofreading, and editorial skills in Arabic and Englishyou take what you write very seriously and have great attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and a manageable ego with the ability to present and defend your work when you really believe in it
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from diverse sources
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends
