JASARA PMC is seeking an experienced and motivated Estimating Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Estimating Manager, you will play a crucial role in our Civil Engineering department, overseeing cost estimation processes and ensuring accurate and competitive project bids. Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating team in preparing cost estimates and bid proposals for civil engineering projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to identify cost factors and potential risks.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather information for estimating purposes.
- Utilize industry-standard software to calculate material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Manage the process of obtaining subcontractor bids and quotations.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor proposals and negotiate contract terms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in cost estimation within the civil engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Professional certifications in estimating and project management are a plus.
