The Field Producer will play a critical role in the production process by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of on-location filming and content creation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of creative vision, organizational prowess, and leadership capabilities. The Field Producer will collaborate closely with the production team to ensure seamless execution of projects while maintaining the highest production standards and adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints.
What will be your responsibilities?
Production Planning and Logistics:
- Collaborate with content creators, directors, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives, scope, requirements, and creative vision.
- Develop detailed production plans, including schedules, budgets, location scouting, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate travel, accommodations, and transportation for the production team and talent.
- Submit necessary reports to meet internal and external requirements.
On-Location Production:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of on-site filming, including setup, equipment logistics, talent coordination, upload and maintain the shoot footage and data.
- Ensure that the creative vision is maintained throughout the production process, addressing any challenges or changes that arise.
- Manage communication between on-site and off-site teams to ensure a smooth flow of information and resources.
- Travel to different regions or countries when required.
- Manage or oversee media cards, transfers, back-ups, and upload to appropriate systems to ensure the data is properly stored.
- When required, lead the client coordination on-site at the highest standard.
- Support and work closely with Ops desk on Ops related tasks and duties whenever required.
Team Management:
- Lead and direct the on-location production team, including camera crew, lighting technicians, sound engineers, and other personnel.
- Provide clear guidance and direction to ensure the team understands their roles and responsibilities during filming.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages creativity and effective teamwork.
- Identify potential production challenges and develop proactive solutions to address them.
- Make quick and informed decisions during filming to maintain production quality and stay on schedule.
- Handle unexpected issues that may arise during production with poise and efficiency.
- Create contingency production plans leading to production delivery as per the triple constraints (time-cost-scope).
Quality Control:
- Ensure that shots and scenes are captured according to the established creative vision and technical specifications.
- Monitor audio, lighting, and camera angles to maintain consistent production quality.
- Monitor and control production equipment making sure it is operating efficiently.
- Abide by health and safety standards and operate following local rules and regulations.
