Job Description

Implementing the daily operations, activities, and transactions related to Alaqtar’s accounts payable, such as reconciliations, journal entries preparation, payment and expenditure tracking, and end-of-month closing, while ensuring their compliance with the relevant accounting policies and procedures. In addition, performing accounting activities related to fixed assets, including recording information of newly acquired fixed assets, tracking existing fixed assets, and recording depreciation.

Duties amp; Responsibilities:

Technical amp; Executive duties:

1. Preparing all accounts payable activities, including journal entries preparation and reconciliation, while ensuring that all related transactions are completed accurately, and in a timely manner.

2. Preparing relevant financial reports and data on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and ensuring they are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.

3. Constructing the transactions and reconciliations of Alaqtar’s accounts payable and resolving any inconsistencies within them, in addition to submitting reports on this matter to the direct supervisor.

4. Resolving any pending issues with the suppliers, vendors, and service providers regarding their accounts and taking required actions accordingly.

5. Developing month-end and year-end closing accounting procedures related to Alaqtar’s financials through gathering the required data, reports, and statements and ensuring that they are all completed in accordance with the standards adopted in this regard.

6. Arranging payments based on their priorities and coordinating with the Treasury Department to ensure the availability of cash required to cover them in a timely manner.

7. Updating the accounts payable balances and fixed assets account balances on a regular basis and preparing the related reports accordingly.

8. Recording and updating all fixed asset information in the designated system, ensuring all relevant changes, such as acquisitions, transfers, and dispositions are recorded, as well as resolving any accounting inconsistencies within them.

9. Preparing fixed assets disposal processes, whether selling, destroying, or exchanging them while ensuring that restrictions are prepared in accordance with the approved policies and procedures, and in a manner that guarantees their verification and accuracy.

10. Maintaining an updated document of all depreciated assets, as well as calculating the depreciation value in accordance with the relevant procedures and policies.

11. Performing any other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance.

2 - 4 years of experience as Accounts Payable.

Good Communication in Arabic amp; English.
