AlGooru is hunting for the next generation of Revenue Squad!

We’re looking for a Head of Revenue

A bit about us

AlGooru is a Saudi-based edtech startup that uses AI to connect students with on-demand private tutors over 20+ subjects.

Main responsibilities

  1. Set strategies for and overlook the initiatives undertaken by the BizDev (B2B amp; B2B2C) and Sales (B2C) functions
  2. Set and achieve revenue targets through effective sales strategies, pricing models, and customer acquisition efforts
  3. Identify and capitalize on new revenue streams while optimizing existing ones for maximum profitability.
  4. Utilize data analytics to inform revenue strategies and make decisions that lead to sustainable growth.

A day in your life

  • Revenue Squad Leadership: Lead and manage all revenue-generating departments and employees (mainly BizDev and Sales). This involves setting goals and OKRs with/for them, tracking their performance, scaling their operations, reporting their progress, and representing their collective efforts across the entire company.
  • Revenue Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to drive the company's revenue growth. This includes identifying new market opportunities, new monetization opportunities, setting pricing strategies, and defining customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Partnerships and Business Development: Form strategic partnerships and alliances that can open up new revenue streams or enhance existing ones.
  • Financial Planning: Collaborate with the finance department to forecast revenue, manage budgets, and ensure profitability.
  • Marketing Alignment: Work closely with the marketing team to align lead generation strategies, brand positioning, and demand generation activities that contribute to revenue.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics to monitor revenue performance and identify areas for improvement. This includes analyzing LTV, CAC, churn, retention, and other KPIs.
  • Market Expansion: Oversee expansion into new markets or customer segments, which could involve market research, introducing new products, localization of services, and adaptation of sales strategies.
  • Product Development Collaboration: Provide input to the product team on customer needs and market trends to inform product enhancements or new product lines that can drive revenue.
  • Team Building and Management: Hire, train, and manage team members across the BizDev and Sales departments.

Requirements

Experience needed

  • +4 years of experience in leading and scaling sales teams (this includes hiring and retaining)
  • +4 years of experience in managing business development initiatives
  • Significant knowledge and experience in developing sales strategies, managing sales pipelines, and closing deals with both B2C and B2B clients.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with setting targets by analyzing historical trends
  • Significant knowledge and experience with financial planning
  • Proficiency in using data analytics to inform revenue strategies and decision-making. Must be comfortable with metrics, KPIs, and OKRs.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
