Salla is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our team. As a Defensive Security professional, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure and tools that protect our organization from external threats. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage effective security systems and solutions to protect company data and assets
- Conduct regular security assessments of our infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
- Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify and respond to potential security incidents
- Investigate and resolve security breaches, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Stay up to date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies to proactively address potential risks
- Lead and participate in security audits and penetration testing exercises to identify weaknesses and verify the effectiveness of existing security controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in defensive security roles, preferably in a large enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewall technologies, and intrusion detection systems
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, WAF, and vulnerability scanners
- In-depth understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS)
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with different stakeholders
