Senior Maintenance Engineer - Aerial Work Platforms

Apt Resources, a leading company in the recruitment industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to join the team of one of our leading clients. As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repairs of heavy construction equipment like Aerial Work Platforms. This challenging and rewarding role requires excellent technical skills, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

• Manage the maintenance and repair of all heavy construction equipment, cranes, Combi Lifts, push-around, Scissor Lifts, Man lifts, Boom Lifts, Telehandlers , etc
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and performance of the equipment
• Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and ensure they are trained and equipped to handle all repair and maintenance tasks
• Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential issues or malfunctions and take appropriate action to correct them
• Coordinate with suppliers to order necessary parts and ensure timely delivery
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records, including details of repairs, replacements, and equipment performance
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in heavy construction equipment maintenance techniques and technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy construction equipment like Combi Lifts, Cranes,, Aerial Work Platforms, Man Lifts, Boom Lifts, Telehandlers etc
• Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a team, brief technicians, and train them accordingly
• Ability to understand schematic drawings
• In-depth knowledge of various heavy construction equipment and their mechanical systems
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent organization and time management abilities
• Proficient in using computer software for maintenance management and records keeping, e.g., CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed
