Job Description

On behalf of our client, one of the largest maritime companies in the Middle East, we are currently looking for a talented General Manager Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience, to manage the Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience department.

A day in the life of a Sales Marketing and Customer Experience General Manager

You will have to oversee the Sales, Marketing amp; Customer Experience activities, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and managing relationships with existing clients and partners.

Your day-to-day

  • Oversee development and implementation of Sales, Marketing amp; Aftersales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure that sales and marketing strategies are aligned with the company's overall objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Proposal amp; Estimate, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and approach.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the Sales, Marketing amp; Aftersales Team to ensure the effective pursuing of new business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage the department budget.
  • Set performance targets for the Sales amp; Marketing team, monitor team performance against targets, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Regularly review and analyze sales and marketing data to evaluate the effectiveness of the team's strategies and tactics.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to the VP of Business Development on sales performance, market trends, account development activities, and other key metrics. Use this information to provide insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee development and implementation of marketing strategies that promote the company's products and services.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing amp; Customer experience head to develop compelling marketing materials that effectively communicate the value proposition of the company's products and services.
  • Work with the Sales, Marketing amp; Customer Experience head to ensure that clients receive high quality support and service after purchasing the company's products and services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the company's aftersales processes and implement changes to enhance client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Sales amp; Marketing, Business Development or equivalent; Post-graduate degree is preferable
  • Professional qualification / certification as applicable
  • Undertaken a Leadership/Management course from a recognized institution
  • Considerable knowledge in all areas of shipbuilding and repair, material handling, labor, safety and product related state and federal regulations and practices
  • Proficient in Computer aided applications
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Business acumen and financial analysis
  • Experience in developing amp; managing business relationships
  • Understanding of sales amp; marketing principles amp; strategies
  • Experience in managing a team and driving results
  • At least twenty (20) years’ working experience, five (5) years of which should be in a managerial position in a relevant field
  • Excellent oral and written English Communication Skills
