Job Description
Eram Talent, an independent Talent Acquisition Company, is seeking a Regional Quality Manager in the Infrastructure industry to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will play a leadership role in ensuring that quality management systems and processes are in place and adhered to for the company's clients in various industries. The Regional Quality Manager will also communicate and work with multiple levels of management and technical staff to ensure compliance with industry regulations and meet client needs.
• Responsible for management of the Construction Quality Control (QC) staff in assigned region.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of Quality control and inspection methodologies to ensure compliance with Quality standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Work closely with Project Quality Managers in reviewing requirements for processes or products for contractors and suppliers to coordinate elaboration, validation amp; monitoring of ITPs (Inspection amp; Test Plans) and subcontractors QC plans to ensure compliance with the Construction Quality Program.
• Devise, improve and review Quality control procedures from commencement to handover of the projects, including third-party inspections and material testing including all non-destructive testing, certification, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivery, and other QA/QC deliverables.
• Coordinate with the Project team on all Quality issues and provide inputs in the QA/QC site weekly meetings.
• Organize relevant Quality/Inspection training to increase the knowledge of QC in all phases of the Engineering and Construction phases.
• Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety and environmental procedures and guidelines.
• Report directly to the Senior Manager/Manager Project Quality Inspection and coordinate with him/her and to other stakeholders in his/her region.
• Required to have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of construction management including planning, resource management and project execution.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering, Project/Construction Management, or related field (required). Master’s degree (advantage).
• Certified as a Project Management Professional from a recognized certifying body E.g., PMI (preferred).
• Successful completion of an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Course (required) approved by CQI/IRCA (preferred)
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 (EMS) and ISO 45001 (OHSMS) (preferred)
• Applicable certification in Quality, e.g., CQI Diploma, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) (advantage)
• Required to have knowledge and understanding of aspects of construction projects including Civil works (e.g., highways, bridges, tunnels, buildings etc.) and/or Mechanical works amp; Equipment (Structural Steel, Rotary amp; Static Equipment etc.) and/or Electrical works (e.g., sub-stations, electrical installation, etc.)
• In-depth understanding of Quality control processes and techniques in the construction industry, including independent verification processes.
• Minimum of 12 years of proven experience in construction industry within site management or Quality management with at least 5 years of international site experience (GCC preferred).
• Project experience in construction Quality control activities along with strong design engineering background and a broad understanding of multiple disciplines and their interfaces.
• Good knowledge and understanding of international regulations and guidance applicable to Quality Control and method validation.
• Knowledge of project specific documentation related to project deliverables and handover.
• Knowledge of inspection, testing and international engineering standards and codes.
• Required to have a detailed and thorough knowledge and understanding of how to read and comprehend construction drawings, engineering reports, and material specifications.
• Experience in managing Quality audits and compliance activities in a large construction multi projects organization.
• Good knowledge in the engineering, manufacturing, and technical services industry in relation to Quality assurance amp; Quality control.
• Experience with managing field engineering, inspection, and NDE related to all QA/QC functions.
• Experience in the region of mega projects within the KSA/GCC market (advantage)
