Job Title: HVAC Chiller Technician
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair chiller systems used for cooling buildings and industrial processes.
Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and part replacements to ensure the optimal performance of chiller units.
Diagnose and troubleshoot chiller system malfunctions, identifying and implementing effective solutions promptly.
Safely handle and manage refrigerants in accordance with environmental regulations.
Work with complex control systems, adjusting settings and ensuring proper communication between components.
Adhere to all safety protocols while working with electricity, high-pressure systems, and potentially hazardous substances.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, repairs, and replacements performed on chiller systems.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and explaining repair procedures when required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical training in HVAC or refrigeration is preferred.
EPA 608 Technician Certification (or similar) for handling refrigerants is required.
Proven hands-on experience in HVAC chiller system installation, maintenance, and repair.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration principles, and electrical components.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to HVAC and refrigeration work.
Exceptional communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
