Job Description

We are currently partnering with a leading international travel company to fill a critical role within their organization. Our client is looking to bring on board a General Sales Manager to spearhead their new sales operations across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait). The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader, with an in-depth understanding of the region's travel market, ready to utilize existing products and services to meet sales targets.

Salary: USD 100,000 - 120,000 per annum
You must be a native Saudi national to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive the strategic sales planning for the establishment and growth of the new sales operations across the GCC region.
  2. Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed sales goals.
  3. Understand and anticipate the unique travel preferences, patterns, and needs of customers from the GCC countries.
  4. Utilize the existing portfolio of travel products and services to design appealing and tailored packages for GCC markets.
  5. Nurture and maintain strong relationships with key partners to optimize sales results.
  6. Monitor travel market trends in the GCC region and adapt sales strategies as necessary.
  7. Collaborate with the international head office to align on business strategies and goals.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Tourism, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in the travel industry, with at least 3 years in a sales managerial role.
  3. Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills.
  4. Excellent understanding of the GCC market, including customer profiles, travel patterns, preferences, and languages.
  5. Proven track record of managing successful sales teams and achieving sales targets.
  6. Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with key partners.
  7. Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building.
  8. Strong financial acumen.
  9. Willingness to travel across the GCC countries.
