Fazah Industrial Company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team. As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data to ensure our products are priced accurately and our overall business operations are cost-effective. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve the company’s goals.
As the Cost Accountant, you will report to the Controller and work closely with the manufacturing and logistics teams. Your role will be critical in providing accurate cost data to support effective decision-making within the organization. To be successful in this position, you must have a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and cost accounting best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cost accounting system and ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform financial analysis on manufacturing operations to ensure products are being produced within budgeted cost levels.
- Review and analyze inventory data to ensure accuracy of inventory balances and cost.
- Assist in preparing budget forecasts for manufacturing and logistics operations.
- Ensure that inventory transactions are recorded accurately in the accounting system.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for management.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to improve processes and controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 8+ years of experience in cost accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
