Job Purpose:
Support the Director, Projects by ensuring approved strategies and objectives are executed by the Quality Assurance department across multiple phases within the community. Provide the Company with oversight and direct management of all activities related to the Quality Assurance program associated with the construction, delivery and completion of all projects, residential, commercial and non-standard projects such as parks, mosques and strip malls, as directed by the Director,Projects.
Main Accountabilities:
1-Oversee all steps of the Quality Assurance program on all construction projects amp; maintain compliance with the projects’ quality requirements by all stakeholders on sites
2-Ensure that all contractors and construction Team Members are implementing approved quality control program and identify and resolve all Quality problems and issues
3-Coordinate, in conjunction with, the Head of Construction and the Procurement department in the creation and management of the Quality Assurance program, scopes of work, specifications and contracts, Write and update the Quality sections in construction contracts
4-Drafting, implementing, and updating Kinan’s the Quality Assurance program along with training to the Construction Team on the Quality Assurance and Control implementation plan
5-Oversight of third-party supervision teams and to receive, review, and approve contractors’ testing reports if needed.
6-To review, and monitor all contractors’ Quality Control plans
7-To communicate, coordinate, and implement all Quality lessons learned among all parties and attend project meetings to discuss quality issues, problems, and improvements
8-Identify risks and ensure operational impacts are minimized in addition to continuous review and reporting of all deviations of plans and specifications
9-Visually inspect each project at each milestone to verify and document the quality of installation using inspection forms, quality assurance checklists, plans and procedures as required by the Company. Conduct detailed inspections after each contractor has completed responsible tasks
1-Use a set of approved plans to verify that the project is built per the plans and specifications. Thoroughly review all paperwork (Quality Assurance and Quality Control) for completeness and accuracy
11-Issue weekly Quality Assurance update reports to the Director, Projects
12-Provide leadership, guidance and technical support for Assistants, as applicable. Support the Area/Project/Senior Construction Manager and Procurement department in identifying and eliminating reoccurring issues
13-Assist in evaluating new and existing contractors' capabilities and provide feedback to the Director of Construction and Tendering amp; Contracts Department
14-Maintain positive and professional relationships with the contractors, vendors, third party inspectors, consultants and other internal Company departments. Support, collaborate and interface with other departments such as Construction and Development and Special Projects
15-Establish and implement new procedures as technology and needs change. Review punch and snag lists to determine reoccurring issues for correction and elimination
16-Act as a mentor and resource for the Quality Assurance Assistant in their developmental training. Provide input on employee performance evaluations--46
