Job Description

Salla has introduced its developer platform in 2021 to allow external developers to build solutions on top of Salla so we can serve the needs of our small and large merchants. Salla App marketplace is where merchants can discover apps that help them run, streamline, and grow their stores. These 3rd party apps are built off using Salla flexible API and designed to work with Salla products to attract and retain merchants.

As a PMM for Salla app store, you will build the strategy for Salla app store marketing. You will focus on two areas:

  • Attracting the right developers to the App store.
  • Driving awareness and adoption of apps/integrations.

You will partner with the product, marketing, and product marketing teams to identify segments, shape our narrative, launch new products, and drive awareness and adoption. You will own deciding which content to scale, which developer communities to engage with, and what mediums and locations to best engage with them.

Responsibilities
  • Identify developer needs and understand the competitive landscape to inform segmentation, positioning, messaging and go to market strategy.
  • Channel your empathy and understanding of professional developers to define scalable programs amp; that nurture developers in a way that is relevant and authentic.
  • Partner with the technical team and channel owners to shape our narrative and engage with the developer’s community.
  • Drive new product launches from go to market strategy to execution and measuring the impact of launches.
  • Drive a data-driven approach to developer engagement, reporting insights and business impact of the team’s audience engagements.
  • Manage marketing budget and approval processes.

Requirements

  • You have experienced either being a developer or have marketed to the developer’s audience. You can comfortably have a conversion with a developer and understand his/her needs.
  • You have a proven experience in marketing or product marketing for a Sass product or a marketplace.
  • You are a self-starter and can drive and embrace change.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication in both Arabic and English.
  • You have experience working with cross functional teams to meet shared objectives.
  • You possess a growth mindset where you view challenges as opportunities for growth.
Bonus
  • Experience working in a commerce/ developer ecosystem.
  • Exposure to self-serve, product led GTM motion.
  • Certified from either Reforge or the Product Marketing Alliance.
