ThinkWell seeks a technical expert who understands public financing and funding in Saudi Arabia, specifically how a government’s health budget is developed, decided, and executed. This expert should be able to frame the current landscape, determine the government’s challenges and priorities, and identify the policy reforms that are underway or have been implemented to strengthen the health budget. Ideally, this expert would have knowledge of the immunization budget, but knowledge of the overall health budget is also acceptable. Most importantly, this expert should understand the environment in Saudi Arabia and should have insights into the Ministry of Finance, Treasury, or other similar-type institutions that are making financing and budget allocation decisions. This expert may be a former government technocrat or advisor who has put together budget submissions or helped to inform budgetary processes in the government.
What you’ll do:
The consultant will lead the early facilitation of inputs and support the production of technical documents that can clearly evidence challenges and opportunities for sustainable immunization financing (SIF) in Canada. The consultant will work closely with the ThinkWell team to identify best ways to prepare and present information before internal and external audiences and help build a case for the introduction of SIF in the country.
The consultant will support delivery on project objectives through 2023.
