Job Description

The Senior Government Relations Consultant is a key position reporting into the Government Relations Manager where they are required to bring hands-on experience to build solutions and create tailored, circumstantial plans. Through supporting the development of programs, the Senior Government Relations Consultant will assist to simplify future interactions with government bodies and authorities to reduce the risk of regulatory infringements. The most impactful mission in this role is to create the best talent experience in securing visas and building excellent employee rapport.


  • Supports multiple government affairs projects to maximize the effectiveness of interactions with government bodies and government officials.
    • Oversee and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver agreed projects and programs with government bodies and authorities
    • Communicates with local government bodies on behalf of the company and employees to assist in streamlining visa applications and maintaining applicant status.
    • Creating visa plans for each person’s situation proactively based upon project needs and availability of documentation.
    • Developing, translating, and collating documents in setting up company entities.
    • Prepares briefs and other documents aimed at meeting government and regulatory developments.
    • Collaborates with other colleagues within Government Relations functions to share best practices, key contacts, intellectual capital, and emerging issues.
    • Shares local intelligence and provides an on-the-ground perspective on the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.
  • Other responsibilities assigned by the Government Relations Manager.


    • Proven experience in interacting with government officials.
    • Possess good governmental relations and affairs knowledge and working relationships to deliver results and/or expertise in a professional manner.
    • Results-oriented with the persistence and patience necessary to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.
    • Self-motivated professional with good judgment and the ability to work under pressure.
    • Must be able to work well and remain flexible in an environment of constantly changing priorities and schedule driven deadlines.
    • Ability to handle multiple urgencies and lead efforts and priorities as necessary.
    • Ability to handle cross delivery partner confidential and sensitive information on a frequent basis.

    Demonstrated results in identifying and implementing best practices related to processes, systems, tools, controls, and metrics.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's degree in Business.
    • Have at least 8 years of experience as a Government Relations professional, ideally in an international company
