The Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring that key projects and engineering duties are fulfilled. The Engineering Manager responsible for solving any engineering issue that comes up in a project, proposing budgets for projects, training new employees, working with various other departments and prepare reports on the progress of any project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designs, implements, and refines product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Research and develop designs and products.
- Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering.
- Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
- Lead research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes.
- Determine the need for training and talent development.
- Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.
- Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
- Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies.
- Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Lead research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in engineering required.
- 4-5 years relevant work experience, 1-2 years management experience.
- Master’s degree in engineering or MBA a plus.
- Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role.
- Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems.
- Expert-level knowledge of sector technology and processes.
- Good knowledge in Python.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges.
