Job Description

CONTRACT BRAND STRATEGIST

Our client a US based Creative Digital Branding agency is looking for a contract brand Strategist based in Riyadh who thrives when bringing new Saudi brands to market, refreshing older brands, and creating go-to-market strategies that not only engage, but thrill audiences.

You’ll partner with their Head of Strategy on branding and activation projects from start to finish. You will also collaborate closely with their Account, Creative and Digital teams to ensure we are meeting and exceeding the client’s expectations and deadlines.

You will lead Saudi-focused brand assessments and audits, share findings with their cross-functional teams to guide their work, use their strategy templates and approaches to develop foundational brand strategies and then ensure any activation work, from visual identities to websites to campaigns, is executed from that brand foundation.

You are a continual learner, genuinely curious about their Saudi clients’ brands and industries, love to dive in and get your hands dirty and believe the best work is done in collaboration with a cross-functional team who shares your passion.

Please note: They will be giving priority to candidates who fit the position criteria and live in Riyadh. This position in freelance to start but there is a potential for full-time employment in the future.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed desktop research of their Saudi clients’ products, services, competitors, and target markets
  • Take the lead on developing or refreshing brand foundations and go-to-marketing strategies for Saudi clients, focused on a Saudi audience, based on our company templates and with direction and guidance from the Head of Brand Strategy
  • In partnership with the Head of Brand Strategy, give ongoing strategic guidance to clients and act as their guide and partner in all work
  • Brief the Creative and Digital teams and work with them to ideate and develop concepts for projects and activations
  • Define, create, and implement Wow experiences for clients
  • Be seen as a trusted strategic partner, both by clients and internal teams
  • Multi-task and get the work done effectively and efficientlyon time, within project budgets, and with excellent quality
  • Develop and own strategy presentations for their Saudi clients (in partnership with a designer)
  • Manage all documentation and keep organized files for every project
  • Take part in pitches for new business opportunities as needed
  • Collaborate with team members on ways to bring the strategy to life across all key client touchpoints (web, social, etc)
  • Work as part of a team that collaborates to achieve the best possible results
  • Lead and participate in brainstorms, and deliver best-in-class work that exceeds client objectives
  • Effectively and regularly communicate with internal team members and clients
  • Create opportunities to upsell clients and continue the relationship beyond initial scope
  • Ensure quality assurance for all strategy deliverables
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the marketplace and competitive landscape their Clients operate in, as well as cultural, and business trends
  • Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule and remain within outlined and agreed to budget parameters
  • Be a source of positivity, inspiration, creativity, and fun


Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 3+ years of Saudi client and agency experience
  • An genuine curiosity in a wide variety of clients/brands and industries
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills, in both English and Arabic
  • Professional presentation on calls via Zoom and in-person meetings
  • Demonstrated ability in presenting to clients
  • Familiarity with basic brand strategy elements (purpose, promise, values, voice, etc)
  • Proficiency with keynote presentations and the google suite (GDrive, Docs, Sheets, etc).
  • Strong motivation and passion for producing wow moments for clients
  • Exceptional organizational skills (we all get our hands dirty at Mamp;R)
  • The ability to work well with teams, but thrives individually and likes to own their portion of work
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and mindset
  • A kind, get-stuff-done attitude with a positive outlook
  • The ability to think outside the box and bring unique ideas to the table
