Job Description

Al-Musbah Trading Group (AMG) is a diversified holding company based in the commercial hub of Saudi Arabia. It has business operations that span four continents and over a dozen countries, with over 3,500 employees. AMG has a strong focus on trading and distribution activities in the GCC. Significant business interests include: Wholesale perfume distribution; Retail chain of perfumeries (+200 shops) also selling gift items, cosmetics, and opticals; Kingdom-wide operations in airport duty-free shops; Parking lot management; Software development; Telecommunications; International franchising of restaurant chains; Exclusive distributorship of international brand name products; Catering and food outlets; Construction; and Real Estate Development AMG has recently secured a long-term contract to operate the VIP lounges of all 13 major airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. AMG plans to develop existing infrastructure into world-class facilities that include amenities such as high-end retail/duty free, limousine services, massage parlor, gourmet catering, business centers, tourism, and accommodations. In the coming year, a transition to a newly designed management information system, key personnel, and design will be put into effect. The Systems and Applications Manager (SAM) will be a mission critical and core member of the project team. With 13 lounges under management, the SAM will be responsible for the smooth operation of the MIS system which will incorporate accounting, access controls, scheduling, baggage tracking, client database, POS’s, and the many more verticals expected over time for the entire operation. There are +200,000 VIPs that pass through the lounges every year. * Bachelor’s degree in either commerce, business administration, or an IT-related field. * MBA or Masters in Management Information Systems. (Masters is favorable, but not required) * We are looking for a candidate that has strong qualifications in both * Must have at least 3-5 years of working experience – in aspects of both 1) business/management as well as 2) IT/MIS. * Successful candidate will have an expert-level proficiency at designing and deploying MIS systems from concept stage to implementation. * Successful candidate will have experience in software programming. * Should have experience in working in and managing teams. * Should have a sound and fundamental understanding of business process engineering, accounting systems, and the various other key functions of an enterprise system. * Candidates with experience in an MNC or working on projects for MNCs based abroad will have an advantage. * Key Qualities: o IT Project Management skills o Able to evaluate business processes and technology requirements in a retail environment o Strong communication skills for a multi-cultural work environment o Ability to speak and draft technical and business documentation in English o Able to work in a high pressure environment and meet deadlines when required o Strong attention to detail, yet focus on achieving overall objectives

Job Specification

• Taking a lead in developing the MIS system • Testing and implementation of the system on a strict timeline • Constant monitoring and evaluation of the system • 24/7 Troubleshooting • Central control / administrator duties for all 13 (or more) sites • Modification of the system to incorporate new businesses or change processes • Develop a robust reporting function • Analyze business processes in the lounges and suggest changes for enhanced efficiency • Liaison and work with in-house software development team to build system
