This position will be responsible for all the matters relating to Procurement and Contracting:
Procurement Activities:
- Prepares Company estimates and works with the company estimating functions in the preparation of estimates.
- Prepare and collect all information for composing and issuing RFPs to vendors
- Conduct market research and product evaluation as needed in order to make informed decision on suitable suppliers.
- Develop Bid List. Evaluate incoming proposals, review technical qualifications and rank vendors for selection.
- Evaluate, negotiate submitted contract proposals and award contracts.
- Conduct negotiation session with short-listed suppliers.
- Ensure the provision of cost effectiveness, efficiency, and quality associated with the sourcing process.
- Provide summaries of contract related matters and keep project personnel aware of contractual obligations and objectives.
Provide advice and follow-up with the Contract Advisor on all contracting and procurement activities.
Procurement Administration:
- Support the overall procurement activities
- Proactively manage procurement needs of all the departments and ensure timely and cost efficient procurement.
- Ensure compliance with the procurement policy. Update policy wherever needed and lead the approval process.
- Ensure and track compliance with all the terms and conditions of existing contracts in coordination with the contractor advisor.
- Ensure all the required steps, approvals and documentation is kept per the Procurement procedures
- Ensure vendors are paid on a timely basis and Manage communications with Vendors
- Advise the proponent group of different methods and options available for procuring their needed item. Provide guidance to management and end-user department and advise them on procurement activities and contracting procedures.
- Engage and manage communication with the parent company procurement department if procurement done through the parent company
- Ensure minimization of bottlenecks in the procurement process
- Provide training when needed on different contracting options
