Business Services Manager

As the Business Services Manager, you will oversee the effective deployment and utilization of business applications that are used internally within ACCUMED's operations as well as solutions deployed onsite with our clients and or licensed products. Create and/or support the strategic initiatives of the unit; participate in the financial success of the operation by identifying cost savings and revenue sources; coordinate projects and programs; evaluate business trends and make recommendations to improve operations efficiencies through improved system features; participate on, and possibly lead, work groups and committees; supervise assigned staff that may include business analysts, support and end user training staff.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work closely with the various internal departments to support their needs and ensure development or feature enhancement of most suited technology solutions as well as determining business requirements for IT services guided by business strategy
• Develop and present the business case for new or improved services experience or performance improvement and lead the cross functional team to bring those services to life
• Manage the services portfolio across its lifecycle, from introduction to end of service life, including roadmaps, transition plans, and communications
• Engage with marketing, client account managers and sales to ensure clear understanding of the offers and value proposition as well as support operations and external clients achieve strategic opportunities as needed to improve process efficiency
• Develop and maintain dashboards and management reporting mechanisms to monitor the performance of the business applications, user satisfaction levels and identify areas of attention or opportunity
• Work with solution delivery team to ensure skills are in place to deploy a compelling customer experience
• Own the portfolio experience, including acting on escalations to ensure the customer receives the best value out of the solution and are aware of all features and systems functions that can aid business productivity and operational efficiency.
• Coordinating IT activities to ensure service availability with as little downtime as necessary.
• Overseeing departmental finances, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Implementing policies that are chosen by the organization or by regulatory authorities.
• Identifying and recommending new strategic and tactical technology solutions.

Requirements

• A BSc in information management, business studies or extensive experience in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing business analysis function within a related industry of medical insurance or healthcare.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with particular systems as relevant to ACCUMED's industry for instance systems in healthcare/Insurance technology.
• Additional education such as an MS in information technology or an MBA in tech or business can be extremely helpful (or the equivalent in breadth and depth of professional experience).
• Passion for technology and proven leadership, management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated success in meeting the complex needs of demanding end-users.
• Forward thinking, visionary leader of both people and programs. Record of creative and innovative applications of technology.
• Able to develop and lead strategic initiatives in meeting business needs through innovative IT business applications that advance the ACCUMED mission and are consistent with its values.
• Skills in budget preparation and management and the ability to adhere to and operate within budgetary guidelines.
• Proven supervisory and staff development skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse community.
