Amazon Saudi Arabia is seeking a full-time WHS Manager (Workplace Health & Safety Manager) to serve as a designated safety representative for Amazon Safety, coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Global Safety Program as directed by the safety leadership.
The WHS Manager promotes a positive safety culture while complying with Amazon safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment. This includes conducting trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits.
The WHS Manager is required to maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to regional management teams and corporate based reporting systems. The WHS Manager supports management’s efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate Safety Program expectations and applicable laws. The WHS Manager also conducts risk assessments related to jobs performed and new equipment introductions. In addition, the WHS Manager is responsible for recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a safety related field or 10 years’ experience (minimum 4 years in managerial roles)
- English level should be fluent, spoken and written
- Nebosh IGC certificate
- Knowledge of ministry of labor, Civil defense safety requirement specifically those related to Environmental, Health and Safety.
- Available to travel 50% of the time around facilities in Saudi Arabia.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree preferred
- Certified Safety Professional preferred (CRSP or CSP)
- Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization
