Job Brief

Foodics Capital is a micro-lending arm that offers Shariah-compliant loans to small Famp;B businesses, with the aim to revolutionize SME lending, through offering faster and more flexible lending options than most of such in the region.

We are looking for a commercial-savvy experienced professional to provide effective leadership and management of Foodics Capital microlending program, and guarantee its efficient operation and long-term sustainability. You will play an important role in capacity building, product enhancement, risk management and lending decisions for qualified clients, overseeing all microlending related strategies, staff and operations.

You will be accountable for identifying and validating lending project, planning, forecasting, allocating, reallocating, coordinating, controlling, monitoring and reporting capex execution, identifying any deviation and taking corrective action, which in turn, shall increase product profitability and/or save cost based on insights from KPI’s and benchmarking exercises.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Design viable Foodics Capital overall business plan, develop and review metrics over capital allocation, generation, utilisation and performance, ensuring the alignment with Foodics strategy and the vision set for the product.
  • Ensure that Foodics Capital plans and targets are achieved, variances (if any) are properly identified and explained, and correction actions are taken. All operation policies and procedures are applied consistently, uniformly and in compliance.
  • Regularly create operational reports including competitors and clients’ feedback/concerns and service delivery insights to come up with recommendations for improvement.
  • Revise and/or newly develop microlending options and products based on market surveys and client regular feedback.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with related partners, staff, clients and other local microfinancing institutes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience in similar roles; Credit/loans management, financial services
  • Advanced forecasting abilities, expert level of MS Excel amp; PowerPoint
  • Systems and report building skills
  • Someone who appreciate the use of technology as a key driver of organization efficiency
  • Knowledge of microlending and fund management legislation in Saudi arabia is a plus
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently across functional groups and on multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Must be flexible to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Passion for technology and for being a part of a fast-growing SaaS companies
