Job Description
Duties and responsibilities:
- Conduct pesticides residue analysis.
- Extract pesticides from food matrix and water and prepares samples for pesticides residues analysis.
- Operate GC-MS and HPLC-MS with full knowledge of instruments and maintenance.
- Handle, store, and dispose pesticides standards, reagents and samples according to international environmental standards.
- Carrie out full pesticides residues analysis using normal and advance analysis techniques such as GC-MS and HPLC-MS.
- Develop and conduct training modules for Saudi counterparts related to pesticide residues.
- Follow up researches related to methods development especially in relation to pesticide residues.
Job Specification
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master degree or bachelor degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, food analysis or plant protection.
- A minimum of three years (maser) or five years (bachelor) experience related to practical chemical analysis preferably food analysis, pesticide residues, in particular.
- Has a hand on specialized training on HPLC-MS and GC-MS with practical experience in pesticide residues analysis in food matrix.
- Experience in laboratory management system (ISO 17025)
- Experience in chemical laboratory preferably food chemical laboratories.
- Excellent spoken and written English with excellent communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to adjust to new and changing environments, priorities and/or ideas.
- Flexibility and willingness to accept additional responsibilities.
- Preferably, attendance of training courses, workshops relevant to the field of work.
