PRIMARY OBJECTIVES & FUNCTIONS
The role holder shall be based in he technical Assistance Center (TAC) and shall perform level 3
Technical support activities in support of the three regional center's (RCC's). The role holder will
Be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the network and to provide the highest quality of
Services in accordance with contractual requirements within the scope of Services. The prime
Objectives and functions of the role holder will include the following:
1. Responsible for providing Level 3 Technical Support for Motorola Dimetra Secure Mobile
Radio (SMR) TETRA to the regional control centres (RCC) in order to maintain the integrity
of the Network.
2. Take lead role in supervision of RCC staff and FT's during major network incidents or
Investigations.
3. Implementations of company process and procedures.
4. To carry out in-depth root cause analysis investigations for all SMR Major Services Outages
(MSO) & network incidents.
5. To submit technical reports appertaining to major network incidents or investigations.
6. Deploy Kingdom-wide whenever instructed by Central Management to assist on major network incidents or projects.
7. To carry out level 2 multi-skilled on-the-job training,(OJT) whenever required, for managed services field technicians.
1. Responsible for providing level 3 technical support on all SMR issues to the RCC's in
Accordance with KPI objectives, and to ensure service affecting outages are minimized.
2. Take lead role in supervision or RCC and teams of FT's during major network incidents
or investigations.
3. Implementations of company process and procedures.
4. To submit technical reports which identity root cause & recommendations appertaining to major network incidents within the agreed time scales by the Network Manager.
5. To review, approve and issue network performance reports including:
a) Daily RCC & Weekly TC reports
b) Major Services Outage (MSO) & Fault investigative reports
c) Monthly performance reports & Traffic Analysis.
6. Whenever required deliver on-the-job training for field technicians on even 1 and 2
Maintenance activities, and element management system operations.
7. Able and willing to provide technical support nationwide out of normal working hours
As direct by Central Management.
8. Deploy to Regional Control Centers (RCC's) whenever instructed by Central Management
At short notice.
9. Conduct periodic performance meetings with Sub-Contractors.
10. Must be a proactive team player and capable of working on their own initiative.
11. Must be willing to learn other key network systems in order to enhance the performance
And integrity of the Network.
Job Specification
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION (Knowledge & Experience)
1. Preference given if educated to either:
a) BSc/BEng with at least 3 years experience in a multi-disciplined telecommunications environments or:
b) HND/HNC, with at least 5 years experience in a multi-disciplined telecommunication environments or:
c) OEM training to advanced level, with at least 5 years experience in multi-disciplined telecommunications environments.
2. Must be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of the following disciplines;
a) Motorola Dimetra IP 5.2 Secure Mobile Radio SMR system
b) Motorola Dimetra IP 4 Secure Mobile Radio SMR System
3. Must have at least 3 years working experience on TETRA Trunking systems preferably
Motorola Dimetra IP.
4. Must have in depth knowledge of LAN/WAN, preferably CCNA, MCP, and MCSA Certified.
5. Must be able to manage UNIX-Solaris and Windows Operating systems.
6. Must be IT competent with Microsoft office programmes.
7. Must possess good English verbal and writing skills
8. Must have at least 5 years Network Engineering experience.
9. Must possess a valid driving license from the country of origin and valid K.S.A license.
10. Must be physically fit to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
