Position Description:
We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to work under the Northern Area Technical Support Department (NATSD).

The department provides engineering support for the Northern Area Oil Operations with specialized engineering and technical knowledge in the areas of varied disciplines to maximize profitability and meeting highest standards of safety and environment.

Minimum Requirements:
As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Minimum of 15 years of professional engineering experience effectively performing similar roles and responsibilities, preferably in oil and gas industry or similar process industry.

Must be able of solving technical problems of process & control systems engineering in oil and gas operation.

Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes, standards and specifications.

Must have understanding and ability to interpret and analyze different types of engineering documents and data.

Must be capable of developing next-gen Industrial control system platforms and automation solutions.

Must be familiar with required international codes and standards.

Must possess strong analytical abilities and project management skills.

Knowledge base of the latest developments in oil and gas process engineering technology through work experience, conferences, seminars and professional journals.

Job Specification

Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:

Complex functions with a variety of software and systems, including industrial machines and protocols, building custom hardware and applying machine learning, image processing, and real-time data processing using distributed systems.

Development of custom communications protocols, PLC optimization, fieldbus architecture design, diagnostics development and mechatronic equipment design.

Design and develop solutions involving robotics, data management and precision conveyance. PLC programming experience is desirable.
