A growing Freight and Logistics start-up is looking to hire an Accountant/Bookkeeper.
Itβs a remote position open globally.
Key Duties, Roles & Responsibilities:
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
Fill out order invoices and prepare client sales invoices
Check balances in ledgers and various transaction accounts
Compile and maintain all necessary records, reports and logbooks.
Handle VAT filing for the company
Reconcile Bank statements and investigate any expected discrepancy
Conduct data entry, job creation, billing, general administrative tasks, and any other assigned ad-hoc duties.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet individual, team, and departmental objectives,
Requirements:
1-2 yearsβ experience in a similar position
Must have sound knowledge of English (written and spoken).
Experienced PC User, familiar with MS Office, email and Internet.
Some knowledge of customs documentation and procedures in the SA or GCC is a plus
Knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Logistics is a plus
