Purpose of the job Welder is capable of independently handling activities related to welding and fabrication works in work shop and perform coordinated work alongside team of maintenance/valves/rotating equipment technicians.

Characterization Involve and participate independently all machine shop operations like welding, shaping, grinding, drilling, boring, etc. The work will be carried out both in shop and at customer sites. Result area’s1. Inspections, Checks & Overhauls Carrying out visual inspections, read drawings, checks and condition of the component/part to be machined of fabricated Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding) 3G, 4G, 6G. Examine weld for bead size and other specifications Grind or clean weld joint of work piece Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes. Tack assemblies together Assemble component parts using hand and small power tools May change hoses, fittings, air valves, suspension parts, etc. Experience: Steel/Aluminum experience needed Fabrications with welding and layout Wire-feed welding Machining and fabrication of components for valves, gears, pumps, compressors as per drawing or as per sample to complete assembly works (installation and extending said equipment in shop, on site or/at customers’ premises)
2. Administration & reporting Responsible for the reporting all finding, operations, processing of each completed machining task (selection of raw material, machining processes, consumables, quality, inspection) to Supervisor
3. Customer contact Responsible for the technical feedback about the job status to the Supervisor

Skills
Education

• Completion of a minimum of vocational school, ITI, Diploma in Mechanical, etc.
• He must be certified as welder from a known institute. (certified Welder)
• Hands on experience and working knowledge on various workshop welding machines and others like lathe, milling, shaping, grinding, drilling, boring, etc.
• Experience in handling TIG , ARCH welding

Experience Minimum of 5-10 years relevant work experience in welding components/parts
