Job Description

The role of the Projects Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Projects Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Job Specification

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include the following, measurable in terms of time, cost, quality or quantity. Other duties may be assigned.

Participates in the formulation and implementation of the Project Management strategy to ensure the alignment with AG's strategy.

Policies, Processes and Procedures
Participates in the development of Project Management policies, processes and procedures and manages the implementation to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled.

Day-to-day management
Manages the day-to-day operations of project management by facilitating related professional work processes to ensure alignment with the established policies & procedures and in order to achieve high performance standards.

Job Specific Accountabilities
The Projects Manager's prime responsibility is to ensure that the project produces the required deliverable, to the required standard of quality, and within the specified constraints of time and cost. The Projects Manager is also responsible for the projects producing a result which is capable of achieving the benefits in the Project Initiation Document. In addition, the Project Manager may assist the organization with the scoping phases of projects.

Project Management
Develop and implement plans for project teams.E Build milestones into plans, monitors progress and adjusts them as necessary to take any changes into account.E Provide clear direction and ensure that staff knows what is expected of them.E Responsible for all day-to-day decisions relating to the management of the project, including resources and skills required, implementation of project, controls, making recommendations on changes to the specifications, budgets and schedules to the EBU Manager.E Manage the mapping of progress vs. plan ensuring consistency with budgeting and planned completion or review dates under the guidance of the EBU Manager.E Manage the supplier tender process and the input of supplier costs to the overall project costs.E Work with supplier and partners to establish detailed project plans which identify key milestones and deliverables. E Manage the scope, resource, schedules and financials to ensure of delivery of change in line with agreed project plan. E Prepare and delivery regular progress reports, including detailed analysis of variances with planned expectations for the relevant Client.
